High protein and great for on-the-go!
Prep time: 2 mins
Cooking time: 2 mins
Servings: 14 balls
Nutritional note: This recipe contains nuts
Ingredients
BASE
1/2 cup cashews (no need to soak)
1/2 cup almonds
1/4 cup dates
20g dark vegan chocolate
pinch of sea salt
1 tsp maple syrup
TOPPINGS
shredded coconut flakes
100’s & 1,000’s
powder sugar (icing sugar)
dark chocolate (with a dash of oat milk)
Optional swap-outs
If your not a fan of almond or cashews no probs, you can swap these out for whatever nuts you love. Walnut and brazil nuts work great.
And go nuts with the toppings. Let your imagination run!
METHOD
1. These are so easy to make. Simple pop the nuts into a blender and whiz until you have a coarse sand.
2. Then the chocolate and pulse for 30 seconds or so until it broken up and well incorporated.
3. Add a dash of maple to bring it together. When you feel a sticky sandy texture in your fingers you know it’s ready for forming.
4. This recipe makes 12 to 14 balls, depending on how big you like em. Form them into rounds by rolling in your palms.
5. Add whatever toppings you love. I melted chocolate with w little oat milk as a topping.
coco balls – shredded coconut
pride balls – 100’s & 1,000s
dusty balls – powdered sugar
sticky balls – plain
